PRESIDENT
Lion Ken K.
Lion Ken K. has been a resident of Massanutten since 2003, after relocating from Long Island , NY. He joined the Lions Club in 2006. Lion Ken has three sons, one living in San Francisco , one still on Long Island, and one living outside Baltimore. He also has 4 great grandkids. Lion Ken is an active member of the community serving on several MPOA committees. He became a Lions Club “Big Brother” in 2007.


FIRST VICE PRESIDENT
Lion Bob B.
Lion Bob B. join the Club in 1993 -- the second year of the Club’s existence. Lion Bob is a Past President, a Melvin Jones winner and a Lion of the Year. He has served at the State level as a Cabinet Chair for Sight First and currently is the Youth Camp and Exchange chair. Lion Bob retired as a Vice President of Sales of a large printing company after a 36 year career, and he and his wife Lion Sharon moved to Massanutten in 1993. Lion Bob likes golf, gardening and music and he plays in the local Massanutten Sympathy Orchestra. Lions Bob and Sharon have two children and three grandsons.


SECOND VICE PRESIDENT
Lion Nancy J.
Joined the Griffith Lions Club in District 25A in 1992. Transfered to Massanutten Lions Club in 1994. President of Massanutten Club 1995-1996. Named Melvin Jones in 1998. Lion of the Year in 2001. Served on the District 24C cabinet for 7 years. Married for 52 years to Lion Grover. Lions are a large part of our lives and we enjoy the social as well as the helping aspects of our membership.



THIRD VICE PRESIDENT
Lion Ron B.
Born in Willard, Ohio in 1940. graduated from Willard High School in 1958. Attended Ohio University in 1959. Married my 'better half' Barbara in 1960..we were HS sweethearts. Transferred to Illinois with RRD in 1970. Transferred to Virginia with RRD in 1980. Retired from RRD in 2004. We have (5)wonderful children and (7) grandchildren. Our children are now located in Roanoke, VA (2), Freehold, NJ, Naperville, Ill and St Louis, Mo. I am thoroughly enjoying retirement in the Shenandoah Valley. If you cannot find something to do in this area, you have a bigger problem than I. I enjoy golfing,fishing,gardening and an occasional 'brewski'. Friends call me RB (that stands for 'Runs Better') See ya around the Valley and Massanutten.


SECRETARY
Lion Grover J.
Lion Grover transferred into the Massanutten Lions Club in 1994 from Indiana. Previously he had served Indiana as a District Governor. Lion Grover has served as President, First Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of the Massanutten Club. He has also served as President of his club in Indiana before transferring to Virginia. Lion Grover has, counting the years in the Jaycees, forty-eight years of community service to his credit. He is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, a Lion of the Year and Virginia Humanitarian. Lion Grover is married to Lion Nancy J. and they have two children and three grandchildren.


TREASURER
Lion Dick L.
Lion Dick L. was born in Holyoke, MA. He graduated from Hope High School (Providence, RI) and then from the US Military Academy at West Point in 1950. He entered the USAF in 1950, serving a combat tour in Korea (1951-52). Later, he earned a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard Business School (1964-67), then flew another combat tour, this time as Forward Air Controller (FAC) in Vietnam (1971-72). Lion Dick L. retired from USAF in March 1973 and married Lion Janet L. He has taught at USC, Johns Hopkins, Loyola, & JMU (1987). Lion Dick L. has lived in Massanutten since 1987 and joined our Lions Club in 1996.



LION TAMER
Lion Pat N.
Lion Pat N. moved to Massanutten in the fall of 2002 from the Northern Virginia area. An illness forced her early retirement from contract administration and finance management. In 2003, she became a member of the Massanutten Lions Club. With her background in finance, she was elected Treasurer in 2004. After her two year term as Treasurer, she was elected 3rd Vice President in 2006 and will become club President in the 2009-2010 Lions year. She loves Lionism and it has given her a new purpose in life after the sudden halt to her contracting career.


LION TAMER
Lion Sandy K.
Lion Sandy K. has been a resident of Massanutten since December 2003. She joined the Lions Club in 2006. She was born and brought up on Long Island , NY. However, after she and her husband Lion Ken retired from lengthy careers at a government aerospace/defense company, they decided to relocate to Virginia ’s beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Lion Sandy is an active member of the community serving on several MPOA and church committees.

We joined the Lions to be more active in the community and it worked out that way. I served as Club Secretary for 2 years then worked up the ladder to Club President. I have served as a District Cabinet member for 7 years.


DIRECTOR TWO YEARS
Lion Barry E.
Lion Barry E. and his wife, Lion Elizabeth E., moved to Massanutten in 2002 from Silverdale, WA after retiring from the Navy in 1993. They joined our Lions Club in 2008. They own the Shenandoah Valley Frame Shop in Shenandoah, VA doing custom framing. Lion Barry E. started golfing in July 2008.

DIRECTOR ONE YEAR
Lion Ann L.
Lion Ann L. and her husband, Wayne, moved to Massanutten in January 2002 to semi-retire after visiting Massanutten Resort in 2001.  She had lived her whole life in eastern Pennsylvania until the move to Massanutten.  She worked full time with Great Eastern Resort Sales for two years and now works part time at Woodstone Meadows front desk.  Lion Ann joined the Lions Club in 2003.  She has been a Program Chairman.  She is active in the Womens' Club and loves to play bridge and enjoy the Ladies' Learning Golf League.


DIRECTOR ONE YEAR
Lion Sharon B.
Lion Sharon B. and her husband Lion Bob moved to Massanutten in 1993 and immediately became a members of the Club. She has have served in numerous positions within the Massanutten Lions Club including 3rd Vice-President, Membership Chairman, Lion Tamer, Social Chairman, Bland Chairman and Secretary. Lion Sharon also serves the district as Bland Zone Chairman. Lions Sharon and Bob B. came to Massanutten from Connecticut where they had lived for 21 years.


WEBMASTER
Lion Gene H.
Lion Gene H. moved to Massanutten in 2001 after living in Herndon, VA for almost 20 years. He was drawn to the beauty and serenity of the mountains versus the concrete and politics of the DC suburbs. In 2006, he married Lion Olga H. They both joined the Lions Club in 2007 and have been responsible for developing and maintaining our Lions Club web site. In his professional career, Lion Gene supported the Department of Defense for many years in long range planning. He is now a USSF certified soccer referee officiating high school and college games in the area.
