Who we are!
The McGaheysville-Massanutten Lions Club is located in Massanutten, VA. Our Lions Club members are goal oriented and ready to make a difference. We are always looking for others who share our commitment.
We are involved in many projects that we feel passionate about, and are always
ready to improve the lives of those less fortunate. Our Lions are men and women dedicated to making our community, our nation and the world a better place to live in.
The McGaheysville-Massanutten Lions are members of the world's largest service organization.
Lions Clubs are not a fraternal organization, but rather an international network
of over one million men and women in two hundred countries who work
together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. We are known for working to end preventable blindness.
However, we also participate in a variety of projects important to communities. These projects range from cleaning up local
roads to providing supplies to victims
of natural disasters.
Our Lions Club initiated the development of the McGaheysville-Massanutten Lions Club Web Site in 2007. Lions Gene and Olga, under the leadership and guidance of Past President and PDG Lion Grover, were chosen as developers and webmasters. Our Initial Club Web Site was operational on the world-wide web in January of 2008. During 2008 and 2009, Our Club Web Site was upgraded resulting in being awarded Honorable Mention in the Lions Club International Web Site Contest (2008-2009).
